Praying in Light of Our Relaunch

Pray with us in the coming weeks in light of our Way of Grace relaunch on October 3! Each week (as listed below) includes a biblical theme and related Scriptures around which we hope you will pray.

Week 1 (May 30-) Pray that above all, God would be glorified in us and through us as we prepare for a renewed season of ministry as Way of Grace. Pray that through our efforts, His kingdom would come, and his will would be done more fully. [I Corinthians 10:31; Matthew 6:9-10; John 17:1]

Week 2 (June 6-) Pray that each one of us would daily choose the “good portion” of sitting at the feet of Jesus, listening and learning from him, and empowered by his presence. [Luke 10:38-42; Phil. 3:8-11]

Week 3 (June 13-) This week, pray that we would be 'weaned from the world', that is, that we would both recognize and reject the ways we are shaped by worldliness. Pray that our priorities would be shaped by Christ and his work, rather than the world. [Titus 2:11-14; James 4:4-8]

Week 4 (June 20-) Even though we are several weeks into this prayer commitment, pray for yourself and our faith family in regard to prayerfulness. May we truly be steadfast in prayer for God's work in us and through us, not only in the coming weeks, but as an ongoing habit of holiness. [Colossians 4:2-4; Luke 18:1; I Thessalonians 5:17]

Week 5 (June 27-) Pray that Way of Grace would truly be a light to our community, an aroma of life to our spiritually dead neighbors, and a faithful priesthood proclaiming God's praise. [Matthew 5:14-16; II Corinthians 2:15-16; Philippians 2:14-15; I Peter 2:9]

Week 6 (July 4-) Pray that we would make every effort, and that God would empower us through his Spirit, to truly love one another as Jesus taught us, that those around us might know we are his disciples. [John 13:34, 35; Romans 12:10; I Peter 1:22]

Week 7 (July 11-) This week, pray that Way of Grace would be a healthy, unified, and growing body, maturing in every way, with each part engaged under Christ our head. [Ephesians 4:1-16]

Week 8 (July 18-) Pray for both our current and future leaders at Way of Grace. Pray that God would encourage them, refine them, and grow them in the image of Jesus, as they serve us for the sake of Christ, the chief Shepherd. [I Thessalonians 4:12-13; Hebrews 13:7, 17; I Peter 5:1-4]

Week 9 (July 25-) Pray that God would renew our hearts and minds with a clear vision of making disciples, in light of the Great Commission of Jesus. [Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 1:28]

Week 10 (August 1-) As we seek to be faithful in ministry, pray that we would 'lean into' our neediness as creatures and sinners, trusting that God's “grace is sufficient”, since his “power is made perfect in weakness”. [II Corinthians 4:7; 12:1-10]

Week 11 (August 8-) Pray that God would prepare the hearts of children in our families and communities as he refreshes and raises up faithful children's ministry workers. [Mark 10:13-16; Ephesians 6:1-4]

Week 12 (August 15-) As God grants us spiritual eyes to see the harvest all around us, pray that he would “send out laborers into his harvest”. Consider both how God might use you, and how he might raise up others to join us. [Matthew 9:35-38]

Week 13 (August 22-) Pray for yourself, and for our faith family, Paul's amazing prayer for God's people; that we would be “filled with the knowledge of [God's] will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding...”. [Colossians 1:9-14]

Week 14 (August 29-) Pray that we would hold fast to God's power through the gospel and his Spirit as we remember that “we are not waging war according to the flesh” and that “the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh”, “for we are not ignorant of [Satan's] designs.” [II Corinthians 2:11; 10:3-5; Ephesians 6:10-18]

Week 15 (September 5-) This week, please pray that God would grant everyone at Way of Grace the humility-informed, love-filled servant's heart to which Jesus called us, and that he exemplified for us in powerful ways. [Mark 10:42-45; John 13:1-17; Philippians 2:5-8]

Week 16 (September 12-) In light of our upcoming relaunch (and God's full work in and through each us), pray that we would grow strong in our faith, knowing that with God, “all things are possible”. [Romans 4:20; Matthew 19:26; Mark 11:22-24]

Week 17 (September 19-) Pray specifically for our ads, mailers, and best of all, personal invitations that have gone out regarding our relaunch in October. Pray for receptive hearts and a good turnout. [John 6:44; I Corinthians 3:6; Acts 16:14]

Week 18 (September 26-) Thank you for praying over the course of these past few months! Please pray for our relaunch service this upcoming Sunday. Pray for all the little details that we're praying will come together. More importantly, pray for the big things we hope God will do in the hearts of all involved, and not just this Sunday. [Ephesians 3:14-21]
