Three-a-Day Resources

Resources for our Three-a-Day Reading Calendar

Here a few resources to assist you as you journey through God's word with us each day using the Three-a-Day reading calendar:

Three-a-Day Reading Schedule: This booklet includes a schedule of all the daily readings for each month of the year. Following this three-track calendar, you will read through the entire Bible in one year. If you had the optional fourth track, you will also read through the New Testament and Psalms twice.

Three-a-Day Reading Partners-Key Questions: This simple document includes questions that we hope will inspire good discussions between those who choose to be Reading Partners. Our hope is for Reading Partners to touch base at least once a week (via phone, e-mail, social media, or in person) and talk with one another about what they've learned or questions they have concerning the Three-a-Day readings.

Companion Books

The ESV Study Bible: This Bible is 'hands down' the best study Bible out there. Got a question about your Three-a-Day readings? There's a good chance the ESV Study Bible is going to have an answer for you in its vast collection of study notes, charts, articles, maps, or illustrations.

Learning to Reflect (by Bryce Morgan): Pastor Bryce's collection of daily meditations on the word of God. In concert with the Three-a-Day readings, each of these daily devotions challenges the reader to think more deeply about the message of a particular verse or passage and how that message should challenge not only the content of our minds and hearts, but the conduct of our lives as well.

For the Love of God (Vols. 1 & 2) (by D.A. Carson): "In an effort to help preserve biblical thinking and living, D. A. Carson has also written thought-provoking comments and reflections regarding each day's [Three-a-Day] scriptural passages. And, most uniquely, he offers you perspective that places each reading into the larger framework of history and God's eternal plan to deepen your understanding of his sovereignty-and the unity and power of his Word." (also available free online at http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/loveofgod/)

Jesus on Every Page (by David Murray): "Recognizing Jesus in the full breadth of Scripture is important for every Christian. Whether you are preaching Jesus through Old Testament readings or just beginning to discover the reality of Christ in the Old Testament, Jesus on Every Page provides an accessible guide to the increasingly popular subject of Jesus in the Old Testament books. Have your own Road to Emmaus experience and know the Old Testament for what it truly is: full of Jesus."
