Our Story Thus Far

In 2004, God placed a burden on the heart of Pastor Bryce Morgan to see a new church established in the rapidly growing town of Buckeye . Since 1998, it had been Bryce’s desire to plant a new work in obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus and the example of the early church in the book of Acts. This vision for a church in Buckeye was brought before the elders of Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona in September 2004. This was the church in which Bryce grew up, received his pastoral training, and where he served as Pastor of Young Adults. The CBC elders supported the idea and agreed that steps should be taken to see how God might work. In the spring of 2005, a small core group was assembled. This included three other committed families from CBC, including Camelback elder, Bill Eaton. Bryce, his wife Anita, and their two children moved to Buckeye in June 2005, and some community studies were launched a short time later. In a desire to build their small core team, by God’s grace, Way of Grace was able to launch a Sunday morning meeting at Buckeye Union High School in October of 2005. Since that time, God has been slowly building the body at Way of Grace Church. In August of 2007, Way of Grace moved their Sunday morning meeting to the new Youngker High School .
